"There's an App for That" Amazon Seller Edition: Part One
There's literally an app for everything - sourcing, savings, managing a business, etc. You name it and there's an app for it, which is how "There's an App for That" Amazon Seller Edition came to life! In this three-part series, I will share the apps and programs I utilize to run my online business.
Sourcing
Part one of "There's an App for That" will focus on sourcing! Because my business revolves around sourcing goods to sell on Amazon, I thought this would be a great place to start. Listed below, in no particular order, are the apps I utilize on a typical sourcing day.
1. Amazon Seller App
This app is an absolute must have and it's free! This is my preferred way to source products to sell on Amazon. But you can also list items, manage your inventory and shipments, and so much more! Aside from finding products, my favorite thing about this app is that you can track your product sales and filter it down to the week, month, and year! You really can't do without this one.

2. Scoutify 2 App
I would consider this app to be a "nice to have" instead of a "must have." This app is technically free to download, but you have to have a subscription to InventoryLab to access it. I'll be honest - because I'm so used to the Amazon Seller app, I don't use Scoutify 2 often. Probably my favorite thing about it is that you can create buy lists when you are sourcing. When you are ready to list your items onto InventoryLab, you simply upload your buy list, and you don't have to individually list each item.
Even if you don't use Scoutify 2 to do your sourcing, I still highly recommend InventoryLab. You can access InventoryLab here, and they even offer a 30-day free trial! 3. Keepa App
If you don't have Keepa, you are really missing out and I highly recommend you purchase it ASAP! In my opinion, it's the key to becoming a successful Amazon seller. I've heard some sellers complain about the Keepa app, but I've had zero issues with it so far. The app provides all the necessary information I need to determine whether or not a product is a good buy. I find it to be user friendly and easily accessible when I am out and about sourcing for retail arbitrage.

4. Walmart App
Walmart is the bread and butter. Or the OG. It's my all-time favorite store to source, which is why this app made my list! I'm not sure why but Walmart (at least the ones that I have been to) removed the price scanners. This is extremely annoying when you are shopping and needing to double check the price of an item. This is when the Walmart app comes in handy because you can use it to price check! There was also a recent update to the app which allows you to link all of your in-store purchases through your credit card. It's just an easier way to check the price when you are listing.
I'm sure other retail stores have apps with similar features! So be sure to check those out as well.

5. Facebook/Google Sheets App for BOLO Group
I could go on and on about the BOLO group, but I'll save that for another post. For those who don't know, BOLO means "be on the lookout." The BOLO group is a community of Amazon sellers on Facebook that are required to share at least one item per month. These items must meet certain requirements, which means you have access to multiple quality leads each month. I look through the BOLO list before I even go sourcing to get an idea of what I'm looking for. Then, I go through it again at the store to make sure I'm not missing something. In addition to the Facebook app, you'll also want to be sure to download the Google Sheets app as it allows you to sort and filter the store name.
The BOLO group is a private group created by Nikki Kirk and there is a monthly fee to be in the group. I was a little hesitant to pay for yet another subscription at the beginning; however, having access to the BOLO's each month and being able to ask questions to other sellers within the community has allowed me to scale my business.

6. Jungle Scout Amazon Sales Estimator
While this isn't technically an app, it is still easily accessible from your smartphone. Just search for Jungle Scout Amazon Sales Estimator, and you'll be able to find it! I don't utilize this tool as often as I did in the beginning because I'm getting more comfortable with the sales ranks. However, this tool gives you an estimate of how often an item should sell each month based on sales rank and category. Once you know the estimated number of sales per month, divide by the number of sellers (including yourself) and this should give you a better idea of how many sales you are expected to make each month!
You can access the Jungle Scout Amazon Sales Estimator here.
There you have it - the apps I utilize to source products to sell on Amazon! What apps do you use to source?
Thanks for reading my blog and supporting me on my adventure! Stay tuned for parts two and three.
