The Big Reveal: Who is Retail Rogue?

I guess you could say that I've been working on the "big reveal" for quite some time now; however, I never planned to reveal myself less than a year after starting this blog!

If you're new to my blog, then first let me explain.

I've been hiding under the screen name of Retail Rogue since I launched my blog in December 2021. I did this to avoid jeopardizing my 9 to 5, as selling on Amazon was simply a side hustle. But, as my social media following and Amazon income increased, so did my desire to focus on my business full-time.

My original plan was to continue to grow my business while working my 9 to 5 for the next 1-2 years. However, my husband had a career move which led us down a different path. At this point, we were left with two options: I find a new job, or I become a full-time Amazon Seller.

At this point, you can probably guess what our decision was. So, let's get on to the reveal!

I'm a 20-something-year-old nurse turned online entrepreneur! Or nurse practitioner turned Amazon Seller, however you want to say it.

I'm married with 3 puppos. I love all things wine, shopping, and T Swift. I own more leggings than I could ever wear in a lifetime and have watched every season of One Tree Hill more times than I can count. I enjoy spending time on the water, lifting weights, and reading a good book.

and yes, that is THE bridge from OTH!

Technically, I've spent over half of my life in school, with 7 of those years being spent working on my undergrad and postgrad degrees. I've worked countless hours, passed two certification exams, and have received numerous letters to follow my name. RN, FNP-C to name a few.

While this is a huge accomplishment and something that I will be forever grateful for, I quickly realized that adding letters after my name doesn't equal happiness or self-worth.

Leaving a career that I have worked so hard for is terrifying, to say the least. But I have found much more enjoyment and satisfaction with stepping outside of my comfort zone and the societal norm.

As the queen of stress and a self-proclaimed people pleaser, I tend to worry too much about what other people think. But in reality, who gives a shit?

I'm living a life by design. Focusing on things that truly matter and letting go of the things that don't. Building a business with endless opportunity. Earning money to help support my husband and I's journey to financial independence.

If I can sell on Amazon and run a successful business, so can you! Don't let all of the "what-ifs" prevent you from pursuing your dream. Things will go wrong, and you will make mistakes, but the risk is 100% worth the reward!

Thanks for reading and following along on my journey. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... The best is yet to come!
