Three Ollie’s in ONE Day!
I’ll be honest… Ollie’s used to be my jam, but it’s been letting me down quite a bit here lately! I go often because there are still a lot of great opportunities there. It’s just not as good as it once was!
I’ve been sourcing at Ollie’s for about 6 months now and, to be blunt, have spent a shit ton of money there. 😂 Inventory Lab shows that I’ve sold nearly 1600 units and have made roughly $9,300 from this one store. So, now you know why I just can’t give it up!
On one of my recent sourcing days, I went to three different Ollie’s. Overall, I feel like it was a successful trip, but I guess time will tell.
In today’s blog, I’ll be sharing the DL on the three stores I went to last week, as well as tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way!
Ollie’s #1
This store took me the longest because it was my first stop of the day! For the most part, the stores will have the same inventory throughout. So, my next stops didn’t take me near as long because I only focused on buying more of what I had already found and was looking for products that I didn’t find at the previous stores.
I sourced here for about an hour or so and ended up buying 18 units. In total, I spent $192 and am expected to profit $155.86!
Ollie’s #2
The second Ollie’s of the day was an absolute BUST. I kind of don’t even want to write about it, but it is what it is, so we will keep it short and sweet. Mainly because there’s not a whole lot to say! 😂
I walked in the store, scanned a bunch of stuff, and left with ONE item. I made a whopping $8!
To my defense, I feel like the store was picked through and it was like that the last time I was there also. I’m assuming that they either get inventory from a different warehouse, or that there are just more resellers in the area… or maybe it’s just me. Either way, it still wasn’t a great experience!
Ollie’s #3
Ollie's #3 was just meh. It was a lot better than my second stop, but not as good as my first! I was starting to get tired and probably wasn’t as focused on sourcing as I should have been.
I was in and out in 30 minutes tops and ended up buying 11 units. I only spent $51.78 and am expected to profit $137!
Tips & Tricks!
I’ve spent a lot of time, energy, and money in Ollie’s. Below are some tips & tricks that I’ve learned along the way!
As mentioned above, you should join Ollie’s Army!
Use your tax-exempt certificate! They are 100% reseller friendly.
Liquidation and close-out stores like Ollie’s can get flooded with resellers, so be careful!
Do test buys
Look at Keepa
Expect to see some price fluctuations
Try to make connections with the store managers. You’ll thank me later. 😉
Look for bundle listings!
Save yourself some heartbreak and check expiration dates BEFORE scanning the product!
BONUS: My favorite section of the store is health & beauty.
